Lifeguard tower on the beach, Carpinteria, at sunset. The beach was very crowded this summer weekend but at about 6:00 a cool breeze came in from teh ocean and drove everyone off the sand, allowing me to get this shot of a vacant beachscape.
Looking back on the inland side of the Los Padres National Forest, you can see the badlands stretching off into the distance.
